Now contains all items to install a later model 1969-87 GM truck power steering gear box onto your classic! This sett allows you to upgrade your truck to power steering using a 1969-87 2wd 1/2 ton GM truck gear box. Our kit properly spaces the gear box from the frame. New Power Steering Gears are engineered to OE specifications. Each unit is inspected, adjusted and hydraulically tested. All units are carefully packaged to insure safe arrival at your door. Power Steering Pump With Reservoir. OE Style power steering pumps completely reconditioned to like new condition. Pumps have correct fittings, correct bolt hole locations, pulley retaining nut, and correct reservoir to bolt right in place just like the originals. This power steering pump bracket mounts a stock-style GM pump to a S/B Chevy block. Must be used with a short style water pump. Mounts on the lower left side. Bracket is zinc plated with threaded shaft. Designed to work with a'70-'82 GM pump that has a threaded pulley shaft, not a press-on style. Works with bolt-on or press-on pulleys with a mount spacing of 3.75. Due to the variety of pulley configurations, it is likely that you will have to space the pump/bracket for belt alignment. Finding stock brackets and v-belt pulleys in serviceable condition has gotten very difficult over the years.
