Modification of the original steering column is required. Use (1955-56) or (1957) to convert the stock column for use with this kit. This is a straight bolt-on conversion when using our Ididit columns.

The top splines on the steering box are 3/4-30. Power Steering Pump mount bracket to work with the "Factory" style 1955-57 front side mounts is Part # 135808.

WARNING This bracket will not work with the 1958 and later Cradle style front mount. If you have the 1958 and later front cradle style mount it consumes the two accessory mount holes where the traditional power later style power steering bracket would normally attach. You will need to use a head mount power steering bracket such as Part # 91032904 with the use of a newer Generation II style pump such as Part # 91032906, Part # 91032927 or Part # 91032922 which includes a reservoir.
