O Scale PN Jones Streetcar Conversion Kit- Fits Williams Peter Witt- 3D by KMM
This is a freshly redesigned conversion kit to transform a Williams By Bachmann Peter Witt streetcar into a unique new model-- now with special inserts for the window sashes. You will have to supply your own motorized chassis and hardware. This version is modeled after the PN Jones low-floor streetcar that was introduced in Pittsburgh in the late 1920s and is still in operation in several museums across the state.
Each kit consists of a new 2-piece body, new sideframes for the motor trucks, two different sets of street signs for the roof and a 4-piece set of window sashes. You will have to provide your own pantographs. The body of this kit is made from 3D printed parts using high strength "ABS-like" UV cured resin.
The truck sideframes are printed in sturdy ABS filament and should fit in place of the Williams sideframes (which are often found damaged). The window inserts are also in ABS and are a loose press fit into the sides of the car-- you can cut and modify them if you'd like to portray different windows as opened or closed, and then glue the inserts in after painting them. This kit does require some modification of the Peter Witt frame, interior and wiring to assemble; I have an instruction guide with photographs available on request. Ken's Model Miniatures specializes in kits, scale models and custom parts for the hobbyist. All of my models are designed, fabricated and assembled right here in the United States. In addition to model train kits, I also have model cars and planes in multiple scales (including reproduction Tootsietoy, American Flyer and Marx parts), so take a look at my other items and see what I'm offering.
