Power Top Conversion Kit Fits 1946-1948 Ford Cylinders Pump Hoses
Available in 6 or 12 Volt. Convert your manual top, or original power top system to a dependable, modern system from Hydro-E-Lectric! Suitable replacement for the following original systems. Original Hydraulic System with Pump in the Engine Compartment and Valve under Dash. Our modern pump is meant to be installed under the rear seat, or in the trunk area, like a more modern convertible. Our switch comes prewired with each wire tagged for easy installation, and ready to install into a 3/8th's accessory hole under the dash. The modern hydraulic lift cylinders will attach to the existing brackets from your original system. This system will NOT operate hydraulic power windows - windows will still need original pump or must be converted to either manual windows or electric motors (Hot Rod magazines always list vendors that can help convert your windows).

Convertible Top Switch with Wiring. Tools required are basic mechanic tools. The best fluid to use is auto transmission fluid (ATF). Dexron or Type-F work great, but any Non-Synthetic ATF is suitable.We try to make the mounting of the cylinders the same as the original parts but sometimes the new parts will not be exactly the same. Some fitting will be needed.
